Faleoap Oil

I apologise for not updating sooner. In reality, I updated yesterday but I know time goes so much faster in your galaxy. It's how I manage to look so young at 4.6 billion years old.

Anyway, I digress. I glanced up at the Doctor, raising an eyebrow. "What did we miss?"
"This.." The Doctor raised a small test tube containing a thick black gloop.
"What is it?"
"Faleoap oil"
"And that is?" Jack's voice.
"That is toxic to humans.. And expands once it's anywhere near water.." Jack raised an eyebrow but decided it was best not to ask. Instead, he said
"Right, come on guys, to the SUV.."

A few minutes later we were all sat in the back of the SUV, the Doctor explaining what was going to happen (basically, he and I were going to be the ones collecting the oil and neutralising it with Hydrochloric Acid, as we were the only non-humans there) while I watched Cardiff pass us by.

The Doctor and I jumped out of the SUV, hand in hand, and made our way over to the meteor. I looked down at it, my eyebrow raised
"So.. where's this oil?"
"Here.. watch.." he took out his sonic screwdriver, and ran it along a crack in the large rock. The meteor immediately split in two and the same thick black gloop began to spill from it.
"Doctor.." I knelt down beside him, touching his shoulder before a small drop of water fell on my hand
"It's raining."
"Ok, we have to work fast.. We have roughly, oh, 14 minutes until this expands enough to absorb the whole of Cardiff."
"But you can stop it?" I asked him softly, glancing back towards the SUV.
"Of course. I'm the Doctor." he grinned, pulling out a small tube of concentrated HCl, which he probably shouldn't have been carrying in his coat pocket, pouring it quickly onto the gloop. It hissed, like a cat when you accidentally stand on it's tail, before shrinking, disappearing into a pile of black ash. Grinning, the Doctor straightened up and took my hand once more in his, and we headed back to the SUV.

Once we were back at the Hub, I decided to have photos taken with the Torchwood team. So, here's me with Gwen:

and with Ianto:

And finally, with Captain Jack:

Then, the Doctor and I went back to Jacowitz, but not before picking me up a new crown. Here I am modelling it:

Weevils

"You look amazing, you know" I laughed softly as Mickey complimented me, before he spotted the Doctor. The Doctor glanced up from where he was stood with Martha and Jack, looking over some readings on the meteor.
"Miiiickey!" he grinned "Fancy seeing you here"
"Yeah, not like you to pop in." Mickey remarked, smiling slightly. I wondered for a moment whether he missed Rose. I knew she was in a parallel universe with a Human version of the Doctor, he'd explained all this to me, somewhat briefly. I didn't think it proper to ask, however. As Mickey walked over to the Doctor, Gwen stepped towards me, smiling. She was remarkably beautiful, and had eyes which reminded me of the Doctor's. I wasn't the kind of woman to fancy other women, but had I been, I would definitely have had a crush on Gwen.
"Looks like Mickey has found something else to do.. Would you like me to show you the Weevil?" she asked. I smiled warmly
"That would be lovely."

She lead me down to the Torchwood cells, looking back every few minutes to make sure I was alright. Typical humans, I thought. I remembered a time when Rose had taken me, and a rather out of it Doctor, back to her home, to meet Jackie Tyler, who panicked over the fact that she had no cakes or posh tea in once she found out I was royalty. It always amused me, and I know it would never change.

We walked into the damp room, and Gwen apologised once more, though it wasn't as though she'd designed the room to be damp and gloomy, so I didn't really understand why she was apologising. She lead me over to the cloudy glassed window of the cell and I stared into the face of a Weevil. But it wasn't a Weevil. It was one of the Sobeqobites. Or at least that's how I knew them. Sobeqobites from the planet Byzytyne. Or they were, before they all disappeared. In the corner of my eye, I could see Gwen moving a chair and placing it behind me. I sat down, giving her a thankful look before staring into the eyes of the Weevil.

I could feel Gwen moving around the room, leaning against the wall behind me. I placed my hand against the glass, inhaling deeply. The Weevil immitated me, tilting it's head.
Hello... my telepathic ability always came in handy with other aliens. I knew Sobeqobites were mildly telepathic.
Hello. the gruff voice of the Weevil echoed around my head. I hadn't spoken telepathically with anyone for a few hours. It was like being on holiday and having to speak another language and suddenly switching back to your mother tongue after hours.
What are you doing here? I moved my hand away, placing it gracefully upon my lap.
We slipped... through the rift... I nodded, sighing softly, letting out the breath I forgot I was holding.

Twenty minutes and a full conversation with a Weevil later, Gwen and I made our way back up to the main Hub. The Doctor glanced up as I entered, a smile on his face which reached his eyes, causing them to glow at me. He stepped towards me, taking my hand, squeezing it lightly
"We need" he spoke, not just to me but to everyone in the Hub "to revisit the meteor site.. There's something we've missed."

Torchwood

It was the first time the Doctor had been inside the Torchwood hub, or that's what he told me as we sat together in the back of the black SUV Jack was driving. He held my hand for the entire journey, his thumb running over mine in a way that would have been extremely relaxing if it wasn't for the occasional jump of the car. We watched in amusement as Jack and Gwen bickered about something or other. We could tell it was playful bickering, though Ianto kept nudging Jack and reminding him that he, not only had company, but he had royalty in the back of the car.

I am pretty used to being treated differently for being royal. I've grown up with it my whole life, but every time I come to Earth I am taken back by the way that humans trip over themselves to make me comfortable, even though I'm part of a race that they have never even heard of in their lives. Now, the Doctor never treats me different, but he did at one time. The throne room on Jacowitz sometimes throws him slightly and he acts a bit more formally, which Rose or Donna or Martha would tell you is very weird to see.

We arrived back at the hub and Jack decided he wanted to show us some invisible lift, because it was, and I quote, "pretty cool". I laughed as I took the Doctor's hand and stepped onto a platform that I couldn't see, and found myself slipping beneath the floor as a very weird sensation passed through my body. The Doctor grinned like a small child in a candy store, and exclaimed "Jack, this is brilliant" and many other variations of that sentence.

As we touched the solid ground, a large winged.. thing landed in front of us. The Doctor pulled out his glasses and hurriedly pushed them .. asking
"Is that a pterodactyl?" Jack laughed and nodded and I reached out to stroke it before Martha called out
"I wouldn't do that.. she might bite. Wouldn't want the queen of Jacowitz loosing a finger… or a hand"
"Oh she won't" I smiled, and gained many calls of "You can't be certain" from the Torchwood crew. I decided against pointing out that I was currently having a conversation with the pterodactyl within my head, which may have made them think me crazy, and proceeded to running a hand gently down the great beast's neck. The Doctor grinned at me, before glancing around the hub
"This place is brilliant" he smiled, and took a cup of tea from Ianto, who had, at that moment, come round with a tray. "So, that meteor." He bounced over to Jack at the same time that Myfanwy (that's the pterodactyl's name) flew off. I made my way over to where the two women, Martha, and the pretty brunette I remembered being called Gwen, were sat. Gwen immediately rose from her seat and offered it to me, which is exactly what I mean about humans being far too kind just because they know I'm the Queen of a planet.

We sat and talked for about half an hour, me telling them all about Jacowitz (it had been a long time since Martha had been) and them telling me all about Torchwood and the things they did, before another familiar face appeared out of a random doorway. I instantly rose from my seat and, practically, flew at him, pulling him into a hug.

Mickey Smith laughed softly, pulling back.
"Ari, long time no see"
"It was just last week for me" I laughed. I had met him a few times with Rose and the Doctor. I had always liked Mickey Smith, and had been horrified when Rose told me he had been left in a parallel world, by choice or not. He asked about Jacowitz, I asked about his time in a parallel world, we had a rather interesting conversation before he offered to show me a Weevil.

Visit to Earth

Together, we walked to the TARDIS. He grinned, excitedly, as I sat down on the jumpseat. “Earth... 21st Century... 2008” he visably beamed, flicking a switch, skipping around the controls, using his foot to reach the lever on the opposite side. It was rather amusing, really. I watched him with a smile, wondering if he'd felt the spark between us when we'd kissed too. Perhaps I was far too comfortable with him for a queen. Maybe.
"Won't I be a little overdressed for the 21st Century?" I asked, a brow raised.
“Er....” he took in my clothing and wrinkled his nose before laughing. “Most probably, but I do have an amazing wardrobe! Come see!” he grabbed my hand, leaving the TARDIS on it’s designated path, he’d finally been able to fix the auto control. “It’s huge!! Got everything!” he led me inside the wardrobe grinning. “Hmm...jeans and t-shirt...or something similar..”

I kept stealing glances at him as we walked around towards the wardrobe. He'd stirred something inside of me. I'd always had a crush on him, like a foolish schoolgirl. But he was a Lord of Time, and he loved to travel. No matter what, he would only be there for short periods of time. The Doctor didn't do Domesticity.

I followed him into the wardrobe, looking around at the thousands of outfits it contained.
"It's brilliant. Really brilliant!" I grinned. The Doctor walked through the wardrobe grinning, looking for to something for me. Our hands brushed against one another and he caught my eye as he walked up and down, and I watched as he bit his lip.
"Ari...” he whispered, almost to himself, wanting to say something but stopping himself, I could tell that. He was about to say it, I could see it in his eyes, but instead, he said “How about these?” he pulled out a pair of faded jeans and one of his blue stripy shirts. I looked at him, taking the clothes. Our faces were close, inches apart. Neither of us were speaking, but we could both feel it, I knew that. He was about to turn away, return to the console room... I leaned in and kissed him again. Deeply, passionately. And boy is the Doctor good at returning kisses. As we broke apart, he stared into my eyes.

"I'll leave you to change" he smiled, heading out of the door. I dressed into the clothes he'd given me, pulling my hair from the elaborate style, and plaiting it down my back. I returned to the console and he grinned a grin more brightly than I'd ever seen from him.
"Right.. here we are... Cardiff." he took my hand and lead me out of the TARDIS door, locking it behind us.

"Right.. Chips" he grinned "Time I introduc--" he stopped short as a huge bang rocked the city, nearly throwing us to the floor. A huge meteorite had crashed in the centre. The Doctor looked at me with a twinkle in his eye.
"Want to explore?" he grinned. I laughed.
"Of course."

Together we ran towards the hole in the middle of a park in Cardiff, the Doctor using the psychic paper I had given him to get us through police lines. Special Ops, we were, apparently, though they probably wondered why I was wearing a man's shirt and faded jeans. We walked up to the meteor and he ran a hand over it.
"Beautiful isn't it?"
"That it is, Doctor" a man's voice came from behind us and we both spun around. After a second, the Doctor grinned.
"Jack.. long time..."
"Three weeks.. hardly so long" the man replied. "And who's this lovely lady?"
"Oh, this is Queen Ariella. Ari, this is Captain Jack Harkness." he raised a finger towards Jack "Don't... just. Don't."
"What?" Jack looked a little offended for a moment, before grinning again "It's lovely to meet you, your highness"
"Please.. call me Ari" I said with a smile. Jack then introduced me to his team, Gwen and Ianto, and then to Martha, who I'd already met, and who gave me a hug, asking what I was doing here.

"Right, team, back to the Hub" Jack announced after samples had been taken and whatnot. "You two coming with?" he asked the Doctor and I. We looked at one another, before nodding
"Yeah alright" the Doctor smiled, taking my hand and squeezing it tight. Jack offered me his arm and I linked my hand through it, but I could feel the Doctor's hand tightening on mine.

I could only put it down to jealousy, but that seems silly.

The Doctor's Visit.

I was walking through the palace in the dead of night. Everything was peaceful on Jacowitz, as usual. I didn’t expect anything else, really. But I never do. I reached the throne room and sat upon the throne, thinking. I hadn’t seen the Doctor in a few hundred years. It was rather unusual, really.

As usual, when I started thinking about him, I heard that familiar churning of the TARDIS, though unusually, he didn’t park in the throne room. He landed outside in the garden. I could see him in my mind.
He walked through one of the hidden little entrances, the ones only he and I know about. I watched him in silence as he ran a hand over the walls, his thumb caressing the smooth gold. “I hope you’re still here...” his voice came softly. I walked towards him.

"I'm here..." then I noticed it. The sorrow in his eyes, the pain, the suffering. Something had happened. And he was alone. He smiled, and I could tell it was the first time he’d smiled in days.
“Ariella” he wrapped his arms tightly around me as I reached him “I’ve missed you..” he whispered into my ear before glancing back into my eyes. “Still as beautiful as ever” he took my hand “Walk with me..”
We began a slow walk around the throne room, in silence. He broke it after a while “It’s been too long... I’m sorry. I should have visited sooner... Forgive me” he smiled softly “So how is your reign going?”
"It's alright... I know you have universes to save" I smiled gently, looking into his eyes "It's going fine... Nothing really happening. Everything is perfect.. as usual" And for that moment, it was.

He sat down on the floor, before lying beneath the glass roof, pulling me down with him. We lay, side by side, and finally he spoke of what was bothering him.
I can’t help it you know...liking humans so much, that’s half the problem.” He closed his eyes , running his fingers through his hair. “She doesn’t even remember everything she did, how for one moment, she was the most important woman in the Universe, the one who saved us all, a Legend, now she’s back talking about Calories and running up a phone bill” he sighed. “I’m alone again Ari...”
"Are we talking Donna?" I asked, propping myself up on one elbow and looking at him, biting my lower lip. I had met Donna just twice, and I thought her brilliant. Obviously, I have always had a fondness for Rose, what with her being my closest friend, but Donna was fabulous.

"Doctor.. my dear Doctor.. You're never alone..."
“I feel so alone...” he braved opening his eyes, looking straight into my eyes. “ I’m losing myself...I can feel it...I’ve spent so long running from myself...there’s no part of me left...” he propped himself up, on his elbow. “Save me...”
Well, how could I do that? What was I to say? He was the one who saved me. He tried to help my father, he saved my planet so many times...
"There's so much left of you, Doctor.." I placed a hand gently over his hearts, before leaning closer to him, resting my forehead against his. "You're still my kind, brave Doctor... Nothing will change that. Donna will go on to be happy in her life... and you'll meet someone else.. Loss makes us who we are."
“I can’t see what’s left anymore.. Ari...it hurts...so much...” he sighed before smiling ,”Anyway enough about me, they’d call me an Emo on Earth right now!” he swallowed “Talking of Earth, fancy a trip, I could have you back before you got there?”

"I'm always up for a trip to Earth.. you should know that by now.. How is my star, by the way?" I asked, smiling softly at him. What happened next was probably.. foolish. I kissed him. I felt he needed it. I felt I needed it. I wanted to do it. I’ve wanted to do it since I was 16. Since the first time I'd met him.

“Your...” The Doctor didn’t finish his sentence before that fateful kiss, and I was immediately embarrassed. We broke apart and he looked into my eyes.” Ari...I?” he was completely shocked, that was obvious “I...”
I absent mindedly brushed a hand through my hair, feeling a very foolish. "I apologise, Doctor.. that was.. well it was rude of me, for one.." I looked into his eyes as he found himself speechless, before letting out a sigh that sounded somewhat like a laugh
"I'm sorry.." I stood up, looking down on him "What kind of Queen am I? Going around, kissing people.." I walked away, back towards my throne. I felt like an idiot.

“Ari...” the Doctor jumped up, walking towards me. As he reached me, he placed his hands on my arms, before kissing me again. It was soft, gentle.. and I was hooked. He pulled away gently, whispering as he played with my hair. “You still manage to surprise me... Now how about that trip to Earth?” he grinned, taking my hand. “You’ll love it...especially the chips! Did I introduce you to chips last time? I don’ t think I did, no that was scones wasn’t it, well they’re brilliant anyway!”

And so we made our way into the TARDIS... More tomorrow.

A Beginning

Ok, well, this is all new. Rose Tyler introduced me to this. Suppose it was a way for her to keep in touch with all the Jacowitzian news while she was away. The Doctor fiddled with my computer so remarkably, I have access to the internet of YOUR galaxy. Funny that.

Anyway, for those of you who don’t know me, I’m Ariella Lavizsia, daughter of King Laksmono and Queen Kaelyne. Many of you won’t have had the honour of meeting my parents, and so, here are photos of them:

So that’s my parents for you. My father was born to be King, and he was a brilliant king. He brought peace to the Whirlpool Galaxy, made alliances with our neighbouring planets, all of which I honour, and helped the Doctor save races of people.

Unfortunately, he died prematurely, as he was murdered by the Terileptils in hopes of beginning a war with my people. This failed to happen as our neighbouring planets, the ones my father had brought together in friendship, attacked for us. We’re the least violent race in the galaxy, in fact, violence is so far beneath us that I do not understand the need for my guards. Still, I suppose even Nyklus can turn, and every species has it’s bad guy.

Perhaps I should tell you more about my race. We’re known as the Nyklus, as you have probably already guessed. We’re the most ancient race in the universe, even older than Time Lords, as the Doctor reminds me on may occasions. We look human in form, which is why I could so easily travel with the Doctor and Rose. We’re highly telepathic. In fact, we rarely speak. When Rose and the Doctor are here, I do try to speak to them normally, as it can be quite disorientating for people who are vocal. Our average lifespan is that of a star, which sounds rather odd, but when a Nyklus is born, a star is born too, a star which burns until the death of that Nyklus. In a way, I suppose you could say the Universe is creating itself around us, but that would make us seem rather self-obsessed, and I can assure you, we’re not.

Anyway, there are only two stars in the entire universe which are not connected to a Nyklus. Both happen to be orbited by Jacowitz. Here’s a picture of my star:

Those of you on Earth may know it as “The Sun”.

Ok, now I shall tell you a little more about my planet. I live on Jacowitz, a planet in the heart of the Whirlpool Galaxy. We orbit two suns, which may seem strange, but the Second sun is only really orbited once every 4 years. We have three moons, though it’s a rare occasion when they’re all up at once. Here are a few photos of Jacowitz you may enjoy:

And here’s a photo of my home, the Imperial Palace:

Well, that’s enough about me for now. In my next blog, I shall tell you about my life, my day to day duties, and what not, but until then.
